Charli xcx just stumbled back into one of her own unreleased songs on X. Normal archive management.

A fan resurfaced the unreleased track ‘Witch V Witch’, prompting Charli to reply that she thought the song was a collaboration with Grimes.

That turned into an actual memory-recovery session between the two artists.

What is ‘Witch V Witch’?

In their exchange, Grimes recalled working on an early version of the song years ago and said somebody later improved the production. Charli then filled in the missing piece, saying A. G. Cook took over the production and remembering working on the track during a night at Grimes’ home in Los Angeles.

Charli also said she still liked the song.

Which, naturally, creates the next problem: now everyone knows she remembers it exists.

Will Charli xcx release ‘Witch V Witch’?

For now, there is no announced release for ‘Witch V Witch’. The track has circulated among fans as unreleased Charli material for years, but this week’s X exchange gives much clearer confirmation of who was actually involved in making it.

The timing is especially fun because Charli’s current official site is focused on her 2026 album Music, Fashion, Film. ‘Witch V Witch’ belongs to a much older creative chapter, which makes the whole thing feel less like a rollout and more like two people opening a drawer and finding a song they forgot was in there.

So no, ‘Witch V Witch’ has not suddenly been announced as a single.

But Charli, Grimes and A. G. Cook on the same unreleased track?

Yeah. I would also like the drawer reopened.
