KATSEYE are currently touring Europe as a four-member lineup after HYBE x Geffen confirmed Sophia Laforteza will sit out the group’s UK and European dates.
In an official Weverse notice, the company said Sophia will not participate in THE WILDWORLD TOUR from September 1 through September 17 while she focuses on her well-being.
That means the current touring lineup is Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae.
KATSEYE are still a six-member group. Manon Bannerman is also on hiatus, and there has been no announcement that either Manon or Sophia has permanently left the group.
Why is Sophia missing KATSEYE’s Europe tour?
HYBE x Geffen said Sophia is focusing on her well-being and that the company is continuing to support her during the break.
Sophia had already stepped back from group activities before the European leg began, and she later told fans she wanted to perform but needed to keep prioritising her health.
So, for these dates, KATSEYE are effectively a four-person touring group. The change is temporary based on the information released so far.
Which KATSEYE members are touring right now?
For the September 1 to September 17 UK and European run, the members on stage are Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae.
The tour opened in Dublin before moving through the UK and mainland Europe, with shows including London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp and Copenhagen.
And because this lineup change has caused a lot of confusion online, the main thing is pretty simple: KATSEYE have not become a four-member group. They are performing as four members while Sophia and Manon are away from group activities.
