ADÉLA’s debut album era is officially here.
The Slovak pop singer releases her first full-length album, PRIMA, on September 4, 2026 via Capitol Records, with 11 tracks including ‘KGB’, ‘Red Bottoms’, ‘Ain’t In LA’ and a new song with perhaps the most immediately clickable title on the record: ‘Nicole Kidman’.
And yes. Nicole Kidman already knows about this.
Kidman recently used ADÉLA’s ‘Ain’t In LA’ in her first TikTok and has said she knows the singer, with plans to attend ADÉLA’s Nashville show on September 21. So the person whose name is sitting at track two has somehow already wandered into the album’s lore before we’ve even heard the song.
Very normal debut-album behaviour.
When does ADÉLA’s ‘PRIMA’ come out?
PRIMA arrives September 4 through Capitol Records. Apple Music lists the standard edition at 11 songs, while ADÉLA’s official store is also selling a 12-track digital edition with the bonus song ‘Nasty Dirty Gross’.
The album is executive-produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin. ADÉLA has described the record as deliberately capturing the contradictions of being 22, mixing harder production with more vulnerable material rather than trying to make herself fit neatly into one version of a pop star.
Which brings us to the title.
Why is the album called ‘PRIMA’?
This one goes all the way back to ADÉLA’s life before pop.
She trained extensively in ballet, and has explained that PRIMA works on two levels: ‘prima’ means first, fitting for a debut album, while a prima ballerina is the leading dancer of a ballet company.
Her ambition is not particularly hidden. ADÉLA says she wants to become the “prima ballerina of pop.”
I mean, if you’re going to make a debut album, you may as well arrive with a job title picked out.

So… why is there a song called ‘Nicole Kidman’?
That is currently the fun part: the full song arrives with the album, and its title has already taken on a life of its own because Kidman is actually aware of ADÉLA.
The actress confirmed her interest after using ‘Ain’t In LA’ on TikTok and has said she plans to see ADÉLA live in Nashville. Until the track is released, though, we are not going to invent an explanation for what it means just because the title is irresistible.
We will be investigating immediately.
Who is ADÉLA?
Born Adéla Jergová in Bratislava, Slovakia, ADÉLA first reached a global pop audience as a contestant on The Debut: Dream Academy, the HYBE x Geffen competition that ultimately created KATSEYE.
She didn’t make the final group.
That could have been the end of the story. Instead, she signed with Capitol Records, released The Provocateur, sold out early headline shows and opened for Demi Lovato before announcing her first full-length album.
There’s also a lovely full-circle detail buried inside ‘Ain’t In LA’. Universal Music says the song was inspired after ADÉLA returned to Bratislava and found old photographs of her mother at 18 surrounded by pop-culture posters her grandfather had brought in from Germany. The music video was then filmed in ADÉLA’s hometown.
So PRIMA isn't really an album about pretending she materialised fully formed in Los Angeles. It keeps pulling the story back to Bratislava, ballet and the slightly terrifying decision to want something enormous.
And now the debut is here.
Eleven songs. One prima ballerina of pop. And Nicole Kidman somehow already has a supporting role.
